Why DESCUBRE?

Today's students receive multiple messages about what it means to be a person and what happiness consists of. These messages, coming from diverse sources, are often varied and even contradictory. Therefore, it is necessary to offer an education with a solid anthropological foundation that integrates intelligence, will, and the affective dimension.

 

DISCOVER emerges as an educational proposal that accompanies students in reflecting on the fundamental questions of life: Where do I come from? Who am I? Where am I going? How can I be happy?

The program offers a coherent educational framework that promotes self-knowledge, the development of virtues and the building of a solid identity, encouraging free, responsible decisions oriented towards one's own and the common good.

For the development of this program, Victoria Segura, a Philosophy professor, created the initial framework for the DISCOVER program. Subsequently, the UNIR Character Project Research Center and its team contributed the theoretical framework that supports it, as well as the metrics and rigorous evaluation of its implementation and impact.
